Slooow Gunpowder Chai

This is a fabulous way to make a great Chai in your crock-pot.

Prep Time: 2 hours
Serving Size: 8-10
Ingredients
  • 8 cups of water
  • 3/4 cup sugar (1/2 cup if you prefer less sweet)
  • 16 whole cloves
  • 16 whole cardamom seeds, pods removed (optional)
  • 5 cinnamon sticks
  • 8 slices of fresh ginger
  • 1 cup milk (skim for weight watchers is ok, but it's better with 2% or whole)
  • 8-10 tsp of Adagio's Gunpowder tea (More or less to taste, it's all about how you like it)
Directions
Combine the water, tea, sugar, cloves, cardamom, cinnamon, and ginger into your crock-pot. Cover it and cook on high for 2 hours. Strain the mixture and discard the solids. You can cover and store this Chai in the fridge for 2-3 days. Stir in your milk just before serving. (Can be served warm or cold) Garnish with a cinnamon stick, and serve with cookies! Enjoy...
