Couscous with a Bang!

Gunpowder tea is often associated with Morocco, as is couscous. This dish blends the two together unexpectantly.

Prep Time: 5 minutes preparation. 6 minutes cooking
Serving Size: 1
Ingredients
  • 2 tsp gunpowder tea
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup dry couscous
  • 1/2 shredded carrots
  • 1 tsp ground cumin (optional)
Directions
Heat water to 180 degrees and steep tea for three minutes, Strain.
In a saucepan bring the cup of tea to a boil (yes you must boil the green tea). Add couscous to boiling tea, remove from heat and cover. Let sit for five minutes.
Stir in carrots and if you wish cumin. Place in a bowl and enjoy
