Genmai Cha Oat BreadSubmitted by: David MillarA delicious bread that you can eat warm with your favorite spread or butter! Prep Time: 15 min prep time, 1 hour + for rising and baking Serving Size: 10
Mix the warm tea with the sugar and yeast in your mixing bowl and stir. Let the mixture sit for a few minutes until it looks foamy. Next, add all of the other ingredients, except the flour, to the bowl and mix either with your mixer or by hand. Start adding the flour 1/2 cup at a time and keep kneading it until the dough is still pliable, but no longer sticky to the touch. Cover and let rise in a warm place for 1/2 hour, then punch down and let rise again and place it in a greased bread pan. Bake at 400 degrees for 30 minutes. Remove from oven and let cool. Serve sliced into thick pieces with a brown sugar and margarine spread. |
