Holiday Oatmeal

Healthy rolled oats cooked in cranberry tea make any day a holiday.

Prep Time: Prep time - 8 minutes
Cook time - 2-3 minutes
Serving Size: 1 large or 2 small
Ingredients
  • 1 TBL Cranberry tea
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup rolled oats (NOT quick)
  • 1/8 tsp cinnamon
  • 2 tsps sugar
  • 2 TBL raisins
  • 2 TBL chopped walnuts (optional)
Directions
Brew a cup of Cranberry tea for 5 minutes using 1 cup hot water and 1 TBL tea. In separate microwavable bowl combine oats, cinnamon, sugar, raisins and walnuts. Make sure you still have 1 cup liquid after removing tea (add more water if necessary)and stir into oatmeal mixture. Cook on high for about 2 minutes, watching for oatmeal to start rising. When it does, stop microwave and stir. Continue cooking until rises a 2nd time. Let sit 1 minute. Stir and eat.
