Cranberry Cream Tea Cookies

A cakey, sweet tea cookie dipped in powder sugar.

Prep Time: 10 minutes to prepare;10 minutes to bake.

Ingredients
  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 Tbs. vanilla
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 Tsp. baking soda
  • 1/2 Tsp. baking powder
  • 1 1/2 Tsp. salt
  • 2 Tbs. cranberry black tea
  • 6 cups flour
  • 1 lb. powder sugar
Directions
Preheat oven to 375 degrees Farenheit.
Cream white and brown sugars, egg, sour cream, vanilla and butter in a large bowl.
Slowly mix in remaining ingredients except for the powder sugar.
Roll dough into 1-inch balls and place on an ungreased cookie sheet.
Flatten the cookies slightly and bake at 375 degrees for about 10 minutes.
Let cool for a few minutes, then place cookies in bowl of powder sugar.
Roll cookies in powder sugar and place on paper toweling to finish cooling.
Store in an airtight container.
