Herbal Irish Breakfast Tea

Herbed black tea for a great feeling and for energy.

Prep Time: 10 min.
Serving Size: makes 2 8-oz. cups
Ingredients
  • 2 c. water
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 1 whole clove
  • 1 cardamom
  • 2 leaves of fresh mint (peppermint or spearmint)
  • 1 tsp. Adagio Irish breakfast tea leaves
  • lemon, quartered
  • 1 tbsp. honey or to taste
Directions
Put water in a microwave safe measuring cup.
Grind cinnamon, clove, and cardamom coarsely.
Put coarse spice powder in kettle along with mint leaves and tea leaves.
Bring to boil.
After it reaches a boil, let sit for 2 min.
Squeeze 1/4 of the lemon into tea. Add honey and stir.
