Shrimp Scampi a la Irish

Ingredients

  • 3 tbsp. olive oil
  • 6 tbsp. fresh chopped garlic
  • 3 tbsp. butter
  • 3 tbsp. paprika
  • 1 c. chicken stock
  • 1/2 c. white wine
  • 3/4 c. Italian seasoned bread crumbs
  • 1 lemon, juiced
  • 1 tbsp. fresh chopped parsley
  • 1 c. Irish breakfast tea, brewed and strained
  • 1 lb. shrimp, cleaned and deveined
  • salt and pepper to taste

Directions

In a large frying pan, cook garlic in the olive oil until garlic just starts to change color. Add the butter and paprika and simmer 1 min. Add remaining ingredients and simmer and stir until the shrimp turns pink (about 3 min.).

Serve plain or over spaghetti.
