Honey Wheat Tea Muffins
These muffins taste hearty and healthy. Perfect for breakfast. Add sugar if you prefer a sweeter muffin.30 m 2
- 3 tbsp. Irish breakfast tea
- 1 c. milk
- 1 c. wheat flour
- 1 c. white flour
- 2 tsp. baking soda
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 c. honey
- 5 tbsp. butter, melted and cooled
- 1 egg, lightly beaten
Preheat oven to 375°F.
Add tea to the milk and simmer. Let cool and drain to remove the tea leaves.
Combine all the dry ingredients.
Combine honey, butter, and egg. Add the tea-infused milk.
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet, stirring until combined.
Bake in greased muffin tins for 15-18 min. Enjoy!
