Blood Orange earl grey cardamom bun
Soft and flavorful sweet roll

- 250ml warm blood Orange tea
- 2T yeast
- 3 1\2c flour
- 1\2c sugar
- 1t salt
- 1T loose leaf earl grey tea
- 3 eggs
- 4T butter
- Zest of 2 blood oranges
- 1c sugar
- 2t cardamom
- 1t blood Orange tea
- 1t earl grey tea
- 1 1\2c powdered sugar
- 2-4T blood Orange juice/tea
Directions
Dissolve yeast and sugar in tea, beat in 1c of the flour, sit 20min. Beat in the rest of the flour, eggs,salt,and earl grey. Cover and rise 1 hour or until doubled.
Mix the zest, sugar, teas(grind together), and cardamom together in a bowl, set aside.
Roll the dough into a 8x18 rectangle, spread with the butter and sprinkle with the sugar mixture. Fold width wise like a letter and cut into 1inch strips. Twist each strip and place in a greased cast iron skillet, coil the strips starting from the middle and work your way out. Cover and rise 1hour. Preheat oven to 350 and bake 30-45 minutes. Cool slightly and mix the powdered sugar and juice together to make the frosting, drizzle over the top and enjoy!
