Peachy Scottish tea bread

A fun summertime on the traditional spiced tea cake

  • 1c strongly brewed peach tea
  • 1\4c applesauce
  • 1\4c mashed peaches
  • 2 1\3c flour
  • 1\2c sugar
  • 1T baking powder
  • 1\2t baking soda
  • 1t cinnamon
  • 1\2t allspice
  • 1\4t nutmeg
  • 1\2t salt
  • 1 egg


Preheat oven to 350. Grease a loaf pan

Beat applesauce, peaches, and sugar together.

Sift the dry ingredients together and alternate between adding the dry and the tea.

Pour into pan and bake for a hour.
