Baby Back Ribs

  • 5-10 lbs. pork baby back ribs (uncooked)
  • 1 clove of garlic, peeled and crushed
  • 1 tsp. fennel
  • 1 tsp. black pepper
  • 1 white onion, peeled and chopped
  • 1 tsp. lapsang souchong tea leaves
  • 1 bottle barbecue sauce


Fill large pot with water. Add ribs to pot, cutting ribs to fit if needed.

Add garlic, fennel, pepper, onion, and tea, and bring water to an easy boil. Cover pot and reduce heat to low. Cook ribs for 45 min.

Turn off stove and place ribs on cookie sheet. Cool for 5 min. Spread barbecue sauce on ribs with brush. Grill or broil ribs for 5 min. or until sauce starts to bubble.
