Whipped Thai Tea Coffee

L Silva TeaChef Level 1

I was planning to make this far more elaborate but found that would be too difficult to write out. So, i did my best to make this come across as an easy to do recipe. Be warned this beverage may be highly caffeniated by the end.

Ingredients

  • 1 tsp of thai tea
  • 2 tbsp Instant coffee of choice
  • 2 tbsp of sweetner/sugar
  • 1 tbsp milk of choice
  • 2 cups of hot water

Directions

Step 1: Make a cup of thai tea, this cup of tea will not just serve as your base tea but will also be used when the whipped coffee is added later. Thai tea measure out to 1 tsp per cup. Once tea is ready let it sit out to cool.

Step 2: Heat up 2 cups of water to 212° while the water is beginning to simmer proceed to mix the 2 to 2 ratio of coffee and sweetner in a small bowl using a small whisk.

Step 3: When the water has reached it's desired tempeture carefully remove the water from heat and pour 3 tbsps of the hot water into the mixture of coffee/sugar.

Step 4: Then add 3 tbsp of thai tea to the mixture and whisk together vigirously for 7 minutes or until whipped.

Step 5: Add a tsp of sweetner/sugar to the remainder of your untouched thai tea and a 1 tbsp of milk[Optional], at this step if you'd like to add ice to your tea best do so now.

Step 6: Once all other ingredients have been added gently begin to pour the whipped thai coffee over your tea and Enjoy!

[I'd made this with both Decaf and Regular instant coffee, which produced different results both times i much preferred as Decaf. However, if your looking for a Caffeine filled drink go with regular instant coffee.]
