Rooibos cooler

Iced rooibos with fruit and spice. Prep time: 15 min. Chill overnight.

  • 1-2 tbsp. rooibos tea leaves
  • 1 quart water
  • 1 small orange studded with 8 cloves
  • 1 orange, sliced, for garnish
  • cinnamon sticks for garnish


Roll orange against a flat surface to soften, then place cloves into the orange.

Steep tea as you would normally and strain into a wide-mouthed glass container. Add studded orange and let cool overnight. Refrigerate when cooled sufficiently.

Chill well and serve in iced tea glasses with a slice of orange and a stick of cinnamon.
