Irish tea cake
A pleasant twist on the classic cake1 h 20 m 10
- 1\2c butter
- 1c sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2t vanilla
- 1t baking powder
- 1 3\4c flour
- 1\2t salt
- 1\2c milk
- 3-4T tea
Preheat the oven to 350 and grease and line a springform pan.
Heat milk in a saucepan with the tea and steep until cool.
Sift together the flour, salt and baking powder.
Beat the butter, sugar, eggs and vanilla together. Add in the flour mixture and milk, mix until combined.
Pour into pan and bake 10-15 minutes. Cool completely and remove from pan, dust with powdered sugar
