The Nutty Earl

Deborah Dillard TeaChef Level 1

The Nutty Earl has a swallow complexion. So much so, you may think you don't want the him anywhere near your breakfast, lunch or dessert. But I'll ask you to give him a try. He is naturally sweet, versatile and oh, so rich.

Ingredients

  • 3/4 c of strong Earl Grey Bravo Tea, strained
  • 1 c of raw cashews

Directions

Put strained tea and cashews in blender. Blend until smooth. If you soak the cashews in the tea overnight, a little less tea is needed to get a creamy consistency. Add more cashews or tea to make a thicker spread or a sauce to drizzle over ice cream or fruit. To serve with vegetables, add a dash of Tabasco, salt or paprika to tone down the natural sweetness of Earl Grey Bravo.
