London fog tea cookies

A light delicious shortbread cookie! Make them ahead and freeze them or leave the dough in the fridge and cut off however many cookies you want.

  • 10T butter softened
  • 1/2c brown sugar
  • 2-3T loose leaf Earl grey, ground(I used lavender Earl)
  • 1 egg
  • 1t vanilla
  • 1 3/4c flour


Cream the butter,sugar and tea leaves together. Beat in the egg and vanilla. Mix in the flour. Roll into a 9 inch log, wrap in plastic wrap and chill for at least a hour or overnight. Preheat oven to 375,line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Cut the log into 1/4in slices, and bake 10-15 min
