Pi Lo Chun Granita with a Twist
An ice cold treat that will cool the hottest July day with a twist of citrus. Serve as an appetizer, or add whipped cream to serve as dessert. Prep time: 10 min. Freeze time: at least 3 hours3 h 10 m 2
- zest and juice of 1 large orange
- 2 c. hot water
- 2 tbsp. Pi Lo Chun tea leaves
- sugar to taste
Brew tea in water and let steep for 10 min. Strain.
Place juice and zest into a bowl with a air tight lid. Add brewed tea and sugar to taste. Stir and allow to come to room temperature. Place sealed container in freezer.
After 2 hours, remove from freezer and stir to break up chunks. Return to freezer for 1 hour. Serve by scraping off desired portion size with a heavy spoon.
