Assam Melody Red Wild Rice

Rich flavor from Assam Melody tea blends with earthy wild rice to make a delicious dish.

  • 2-3 tsp. dry Assam Melody tea
  • 1 1/2 c. water
  • 1/2 c. dry precooked wild rice
  • dash red pepper flakes (optional)


Heat the water in a small pan and add the tea by using a ball infuser. When water reaches a boil, add the wild rice and red pepper flakes and cover. Let the mixture simmer for about 15 min. When ready, remove the cover and drain some of the extra water and take out the tea. Serve over grilled chicken or summer squash, or in a pita or bread bowl with lettuce, tomato, and cucumber or your choice of veggies.
