Pineapple Spring Rice

This one dish recipe makes for a quick and easy side that's sure to wow!

Ingredients

  • 3 tsp White Eternal Spring tea
  • 16 oz water
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 1/2 cup rice
  • 8 oz can pineapple chunks (do not drain)
  • 1 small red bell pepper chunky diced
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • crushed red pepper to taste
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil, shredded

Directions

This recipe can be made on the stovetop, but is infinitely easier in a rice cooker and the directions below are written for this method.

1) Steep 3 tsp White Eternal Spring in 16 oz water.

2) As soon as hot tea is strained, vigorously stir in 2 tbsp honey until dissolved.

3) Add all ingredients EXCEPT BASIL to rice cooker.

4) Press the button for white rice, let it cook until done.

5) Add fresh basil, serve and enjoy!
