Cranberry Cream Tea Cookies

A cakey, sweet tea cookie dipped in powder sugar. Prep time: 15 min. Cook time: 10 min.

Ingredients

  • 1 c. butter, softened
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 c. brown sugar
  • 1 c. sour cream
  • 2 tbsp. vanilla
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp.. baking powder
  • 1 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 2 tbsp. cranberry black tea
  • 6 c. flour
  • 1 lb. powder sugar

Directions

Preheat oven to 375°F.

Cream white and brown sugars, egg, sour cream, vanilla, and butter in a large bowl.

Slowly mix in flour, baking soda, baking powder, tea, and salt.

Roll the dough into 1" balls and place on an ungreased cookie sheet.

Flatten the cookies slightly and bake at 375°F for about 10 min.

Let cool for a few minutes, then place cookies in a bowl of powder sugar.

Roll cookies in powder sugar and place on paper towels to finish cooling.

Store in an airtight container.
