Pi Lo Chun Yeast Bread

Pi Lo Chun tea adds a subtle taste to this basic white bread-machine bread recipe.

Prep Time: 2-5 hours, depending on the bread machine
Serving Size: 1 1/2 lb. loaf
  • 1 heaping tbsp. Pi Lo Chun loose tea
  • 1 1/4 c. hot water
  • 1 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 2 tbsp. sugar
  • 2 tbsp. butter (or margarine)
  • 3 c. bread flour
  • 2 tsp. active dry yeast
Add the tea to the hot water. Cover and set aside until just warm. Strain warm brewed tea into bread machine. Add all other ingredients in order listed. Select basic or white bread setting. Also select light crust setting.
