Genmai Cha Vanilla Tea

An interesting way to enjoy this tea

Prep Time: 15 min.
Serving Size: 1 serving
  • 1 c. hot water
  • 1 tsp. genmai cha leaves
  • 1/2 c. whole milk, very hot
  • 1 tsp. demerara sugar (or substitute light brown sugar)
  • 1/4 tsp. real vanilla extract
  • a little fresh grated nutmeg
Brew tea in water and let steep for 5 min. Strain.
Add 1 tsp. demerara sugar (or light brown sugar) and 1/4 tsp. real vanilla extract. Finally, stir in 1/2 c. very hot milk. Top with a touch of grated nutmeg
