Watermelon Cooler Syrup

A lightly sweet syrup that can be used in fruit salad, oatmeal, drinks, ice cream topping, pancakes and waffles. You can use this like maple syrup.

Ingredients

  • 9 grams loose leaf Watermelon Cooler tea leaves
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 4 Tbs lime juice (1 lime), optional

Directions

Place tea leaves in a tea strainer or paper tea filter. Combine tea, water, sugar, and lime juice in a small saucepan. Heat the mixture on medium-low heat and let simmer for about 10 minutes. If using tea bag, squeeze bag to extract as much liquid. If using tea strainer, make sure you fully strain to get all the liquid. Let syrup cool. You're tea infused syrup can be sealed and stored and refrigerated for up to a month.
