Jasmine Tea Dressing / Glaze

Jasmine tea is used as a versatile base for a summery salad dressing (i liked this with arugula and strawberries).

  • water and jasmine tea to make 1/2 cup of tea (more or less depending on the use)
  • olive oil
  • sugar
  • red wine vinegar (balsamic vinegar for meat glaze)
  • salt


prepare tea. strain

add 2 tablespoons of sugar and boil until disolved

let cool

add 1/4 cup of olive oil

mix well

add 1/4 cup red wine vinegar (more or less to taste)

dash of salt

chill and serve over salad greens

this recipe does well with toasted sesame seeds.
