Smoky Cheese Spread

Creamy spread for bagel chips, crackers, or toast, with smoky flavor courtesy of the ground lapsang souchong tea leaves.

  • 8 oz. cream cheese, softened
  • 3/4 tsp. garlic, minced
  • 1 1/2 tbsp. chives or scallions, sliced thinly
  • 2 tsp. lapsang souchong tea leaves, crushed to powder to make 3/4 tsp.
  • pinch of salt to taste


Mix all ingredients well. Serve with crackers or rye bread. Best when mixed right before serving.
