Irish Breakfast French Toast

A new version of an old classic.

Prep Time: 15 min.
Serving Size: serves 2
  • 2 slices of bread
  • 1/4 c. milk
  • 1 heaping tbsp. Irish breakfast tea
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • dash vanilla extract
  • dash cinnamon
  • 1/2 tbsp. brown sugar
  • 1/2 tbsp. butter
  • toppings as desired
Heat milk to a simmer, add tea, and steep for 5 min. Then strain into a bowl.
To the milk, add egg, vanilla, cinnamon, and brown sugar.
Place butter in frying pan and set to medium high.
Dip bread into the bowl to coat evenly with egg mixture.
When the pan is hot, place bread slices in and cook until golden brown, about 2 min. on each side.
Top with your favorite topping and ENJOY!
