Honey Wheat Tea Muffins

These muffins taste hearty and healthy. Perfect for breakfast. Add sugar if you prefer a sweeter muffin.

Serving Size: makes 8
Ingredients
  • 3 tbsp. Irish breakfast tea
  • 1 c. milk
  • 1 c. wheat flour
  • 1 c. white flour
  • 2 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 c. honey
  • 5 tbsp. butter, melted and cooled
  • 1 egg, lightly beaten
Directions
Preheat oven to 375°F.
Add tea to the milk and simmer. Let cool and drain to remove the tea leaves.
Combine all the dry ingredients.
Combine honey, butter, and egg. Add the tea-infused milk.
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet, stirring until combined.
Bake in greased muffin tins for 15-18 min. Enjoy!
