Caramelized Citrus Blossom

This tea recipe will appeal to "sweet tooths" worldwide.

Serving Size: serves 8
  • 2 Granny Smith Apples
  • 2 tbsp. butter
  • 1/4 c. brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp. superfine sugar
  • 1/2 c. orange peels
  • 2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 4 c. water
  • 1/2 lb. hibiscus flowers, rose hips, and safflower
Peel and cut apples into 4 pieces each. Heat butter and sugars on medium heat. Add the apple pieces and simmer for 10 min. Add water, cinnamon, and orange peels. When water heats, add your favorite red, green, or black tea bag and serve. Place a piece of the caramelized apple in each tea c. and garnish with hibiscus flowers, rose hips, and safflowers.
