Pumpkin spice twists
My take on Disney's pumpkin twists. Careful they won't last long, they're that good!30 m 12
- 2 sheets of puff pastry
- 1\2c pumpkin puree
- 2T brown sugar
- 1t cinnamon
- Pinch of nutmeg
- 1\4t ginger
- 1T ground pumpkin spice tea
- 1 egg
- 1/4c raw or brown sugar
Preheat oven to 400 and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Combine pumpkin, sugar, spices and ground tea together;set aside.
Roll out one sheet of puff pastry into a roughly 15x18in rectangle, place on baking sheet.
Roll out the second piece into the same size.
Spread filling on the first sheet, leaving a 1 /4in border on the sides. Lightly wet edges and place the second piece on top and gently seal the edges.
Using a pizza cutter, cut into 1 inch strips and twist, place them about an inch apart on the baking sheet, brush with the egg and sprinkle with sugar.
Bake 20-23 minutes or until golden
