Pumpkin Spice Pumpkin Rolls

So my sample of Pumpkin Spice got messed up and I accidentally got Pu-erh Spice, but its still very good either way. These look like little pumpkins!

  • 1-2 tbsp Pu-erh Spice or Pumpkin Spice tea
  • Cinnamon (as desired)
  • 3 tbsp warm water
  • 1 tbsp active dry yeast
  • 4 cups flour, 1 tsp salt
  • 1 ½ cup pumpkin puree
  • 1 ½ tbsp olive oil
  • butcher’s twine


Add the yeast to the warm water and let it sit for 5 minutes. Mix flour, salt, cinnamon, and tea in a bowl. Make a well in the center and add the yeast, pumpkin, and olive oil. Mix into a dough. Turn onto a floured surface and knead for 10 minutes. Cut into 8ths and shape each into a ball. Using the twine, wrap each ball into 8 sections. Place on a baking sheet and brush lightly with olive oil. Cover with parchment paper and let rise for 1 hour. Bake for 15 minutes at 400 then cut the string off. Enjoy with whipped cinnamon butter
