Watermelon Cooler Punch

Adagio Teas TeaChef Level 3

This non-alcoholic punch is perfect for a hot summer day. Not too sweet, it offers the complex flavors of blueberry, mint, honey, and ginger with just a pinch of watermelon.

10 m 2

Ingredients

  • One 12 oz. can ginger ale or lemon-lime soda
  • 12 oz. Watermelon Cooler, brewed at 3x strength
  • Honey
  • Blueberries
  • Mint
  • Ice
  • Pinch of Salt

Directions

1 - Brew Watermelon Cooler, using 3x the amount of tea.

2 - Add honey to taste (flavors will become more subtle when cold, so you may want to add a little more than usual). Mix until honey is dissolved.

3 - Chill tea overnight.

4 - Mix equal portions of chilled tea and soda.

5 - Add a pinch of salt, mixing until fully dissolved. Add blueberries and mint leaves to garnish. Optionally, muddle the blueberries and mint, or leave whole for pops of flavor.

6 - Pour over ice.

This recipe intrigued me because I've never thought to add soda to tea. So I had to try this. I halved the recipe and used Sprite soda. The combination of tea and soda is delicious, refreshing, and bubbly.
