Chocolate Chip Bread

An easy one bowl chocolate chip bread recipe. Eat a slice for breakfast, snack or dessert!

Ingredients

  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp instant yeast
  • 1 tsp kosher salt
  • 1 1/4 cups water
  • 1 Tbs chocolate chip loose leaf tea
  • 1 1/4 cups milk chocolate chips

Directions

1. Make tea using water and tea leaves, set aside to cool.

2. Whisk flour and yeast in a large bowl. Add tea and mix for 2 minutes. Add salt and mix for 10 minutes. Add chocolate chips and mix until evenly distributed.

3. Remove dough from bowl and lightly knead into a ball. Let rest for 10-20 minutes.

4. Preheat oven to 450°F.

5. Divide dough into 2, and knead into a loaf shape. Let loaves proof 30-45 minutes.

6. Place loaves onto parchment lined baking sheet and bake about 20 minutes. Remove from oven and let cool for 15 minutes before cutting.
